About SWRS: A Transfer Station Built to Get Trucks Moving
Solid Waste & Recycling Solutions (SWRS) is a solid waste, recycling and construction & demolition debris transfer station in Clearwater, Florida, serving contractors, roll-off haulers and businesses across Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. We were built for one reason: the local disposal options were costing haulers too much time.
Our Story: A Problem We Lived Every Day
SWRS is the sister company of Wasteline Solutions, a woman-owned Florida waste services company founded by Tina Goldstein. Running a roll-off fleet, Tina saw the same thing every week: trucks stacked in line at the landfill, drivers paid to wait, and routes that should have run five loads finishing three.
Craig Goldstein, who designed and built the facility, took that problem as the design brief. Rather than adapt an existing site, SWRS was purpose-built from the ground up around throughput: scale technology first, layout second, everything else after.
What Makes SWRS Different
Certified scales, digital tickets. Our certified truck scales (NTEP Certificate of Conformance 19-140, Station MTS067823) are built to NIST Handbook 44 and legal for trade in all 50 states, so the ticket you receive holds up for billing and for the tonnage records contractors have to keep. Weigh-in takes 30 to 60 seconds, done from the cab, and weighing is $30.
No ticket window, no paperwork. First time through, scan the QR code on our MyTruckScales sign to get the app. After that you check in from the cab: pull up station MTS067823, fill in the kiosk form on your phone, and your e-ticket comes back to you. Tare weights are stored, so repeat visits are faster still. Typical gate-to-gate turnaround is about 15 minutes.
Billing that keeps up. Certified digital weight tickets and invoices go straight to the driver and to your accounts receivable department. Nothing gets lost in a cab, and nothing waits for month-end.
Built into your route. We sit in the Gateway corridor on 46th Street North, minutes from I-275 and close to the Pinellas and Hillsborough line, so we drop into most Tampa Bay routes without a detour. The saving that moves your cost per load is queue time, not miles.
Real recovery. Recyclable material is recovered on the tipping floor before the balance is transferred out. Keeping material out of the landfill is a top priority here.
Built for safety and comfort. A covered tip floor with a Mist Works high-pressure misting system controls dust and odor, and a Fire Rover system watches the pile with thermal and flame detection under live human monitoring, 24/7/365.

We are at 12175 46th St N, Clearwater, FL 33762, open Monday through Friday 6:30 to 4:30, Saturday 7:00 to 3:00 and Sunday 7:00 to 1:00. Coffee and donuts are on the house from 7:30 to 3:30, and hot dogs from 11:30 to 3:30, every day we are open.
